National CFLG Forum

Child Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) in Nepal is the result of continuous and collaborative works of organizations, including UNICEF, World Vision, Save and Plan (with UNICE being on the fore-front) at grassroots under the principles of decentralized planning. Adopted by Government of Nepal in 2011 as a part of National Strategy, Child Friendly Local Governance mainstreams child rights in the policies, structures, processes of local governance as well as promotes and facilitates the prioritization of children rights in planning and budgeting.

Realizing this need, some of the youth lead organizations convened to form National CFLG Forum after series of meetings and discussions. As a result, on 31st March 2017 National CFLG Forum took its shape with the objective to bridge the gap between policy level works and grassroots works on CFLG.
